Are you familiar with a Credit Score?
Per wikipedia, a credit score is: a numerical expression based on a statistical analysis of a person’s credit files, to represent the creditworthiness of that person.
In layman’s terms, the ability to borrow money and pay it down on a regular basis.
Do you use a credit card? Do you own a home? Do you have a student loan? How about a car loan?
If you have any of these items, you have a credit score. The FICO credit scores range from 300-850. Many people take time to check their Credit Score. It’s important to them, especially if they want to borrow money.
If you don’t need to borrow money, you don’t need a credit score, per Dave Ramsey (and sometimes you can have a mortgage without having a FICO score).
You’ve heard a lot about a Credit Score, but have you heard about a Protection Score?
Your protection score is an objective score indicating how your current lifestyle may change if you run into something unexpected in life, such as a home fire, a serious car accident, a flood, a death in the family. Your protection score indicates how protected your lifestyle is, due to an unexpected loss.
